Suspect Arrested For Shooting At Carroll County Party: State Police (Updated)

A 41-year-old man has been apprehended following a shooting at a party in Carroll County over the weekend that resulted in one person being airlifted to an area trauma center, according to state police.

Manchester resident Jose Manchame has been arrested and charged with first-degree assault after gunshots rang out during a party on Sunday night.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on April 28, troopers were called to investigate a man who was shot at a gathering in the 4900 block of Hanover Pike in Manchester. 

Police say that the victim - who has not been identified - was treated and transported by a state police helicopter to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment and evaluation about undisclosed injuries.

According to reports, the victim was airlifted after being dropped off at the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

The incident is believed to be isolated, and police said there is no threat to the public.

No details about the shooting victim was released by investigators. Route 30 was closed for several hours in Carroll County while police probed the incident.
